The greatest city of Western Pomerania is Szczecin by the rivers of Odra, Regalica and the Dąbie Lake. Międzyzdroje is a town that reflects a true pre war resort, Kamień Pomorski is a town of fine medieval sites, Trzęsacz is a village with a famous church ruins from XIV/XV c., the church “taken” by the sea – falling down to Baltic due to cliff failure and erosion.
In Kołobrzeg, a fine health resort, you may see a thermal spring park, a “new” Old Town, some remains of an old Russian military base and a historic lighthouse from 1876.
The region is a home for Słowiński National Park with Europe-unique migrating sand dunes, magnificent forests and lakes.
